It looks to make is little bit hard but it’s not. Before I make poached egg I had forejudges. I thought I can’t make the shape. It’s gonna be over cook! But it doesn’t 🙂 So try this perfect poached egg recipe, you won’t regret.

How can you make a good shape poached egg? 

To make better shaped poached eggs use fresh eggs, it’s gonna be better sphere shape. Use a small bowl to crack your egg. Don’t crack the egg into the boiled water. 

The vortex is very very important. If you add the egg into a regular boiled water you’ll never get the sphere shape. Also I prefer cooking 1 egg in one time.

Do you need vinegar to poach an egg? 

Not necessary but vinegar makes your poached eggs better. Make every step as the same to a good result. Don’t afraid of adding vinegar even you don’t like. Cause you’re not gonna feel the taste. Cause the vinegar holds the egg white together. You can use any vinegar you like but I recommend apple cider vinegar for the best poached eggs. 

What’s good with poached eggs?

Hollandaise Sauce; it’s a very good sauce for poached eggs. You can make Egg Benedict for Sunday breakfasts. 

Strained Yogurt and chili butter sauce; you can make Turkish egg with your poached eggs. Mix 1 glove garlic with 1 cup strained yogurt, serve to a plate, add poached eggs. Melt the butter add some chili flakes and paprika and add on your poached eggs. 

Crusted bread and labneh; it’s very tasty and easy way to serve the poached eggs. 

Add some olive oil and chili flakes on top, it’s gonna be delicious.

Ingredients

  • 1 Large Egg
  • 1T. Vinegar
  • 2-3c. Boiled water
  • Salt, pepper to taste
  • Fresh dill for top

For Butter Sauce

  • 1T. Butter
  • 1/4t. Paprika
  • 1/4t. Chili flakes

Directions

  • 1)

    Take a deep sauce pan. Add water and boil.

  • 2)

    While the water is boiling, crack the egg in a small bowl.

  • 3)

    When the water boiled, add vinegar and make a big vortex with a spoon. And add the egg middle of the vortex. Let it cook 3 minutes.

  • 4)

    Take the egg to a service plate.

  • 5)

    Make the butter sauce before serving. Take a sauce pan add butter, chili flakes and paprika. Cook 2 minutes.

  • 6)

    Serve the egg with crusted bread, fresh dill and butter sauce. Enjoy!
