Why is Turkish breakfast famous?
I think the breakfast is the most important meal for Turkish people. So the best breakfast should be long and full of foods. But Turkish people don’t eat the big breakfast every day. It’s also big but not like the weekend breakfasts. The weekend breakfasts looks like brunch. And locals can stay almost 3-4 hours to have breakfast.
What is a traditional Turkish breakfast?
You may see big table full of foods on. Every side of Turkiye has difference but the regular and traditional, at home breakfast has a few types of cheese, olives, egg, tomato, cucumber, parsley, jam, honey, butter, crusted bread or simit( bagels). This is a base of Turkish breakfast. And everyone adds new recipes to make the breakfast richer.
What’s inside the Turkish breakfast bowl?
Turkish breakfast bowl is a recipe that I made up. Cause when I was living alone, I’d like make a fast breakfast. So I added every breakfast food inside in a bowl and make myself a perfect vegetarian breakfast bowl. I personally prefer vegetarian breakfast. You may add some bacon or chorizo also.
What do you need to make Turkish breakfast bowl?
You don’t need go buy anything. If you have some cheese, eggs, tomatoes, cucumber, pepper, parsley, arugula, olives, nuts you can make your own Turkish breakfast bowl.
I used boiled egg, tomato, parsley, feta cheese and aged cheese, olives and walnuts.
If you eat gluten-free, these are totally enough for your breakfast. I also added crusted bread with some butter.
