What do you need for Peas Stew?
Fresh peas is the most important ingredient. You can use frozen peas but it’s not gonna be the same taste. Baby potatoes, grated tomatoes, tomato past, onion and garlic, and of course virgin olive oil.
Start making fresh peas stew recipe with cooking onions and tomatoes. Saute onion and garlic almost 2-3 minutes, add tomato paste and grated tomatoes. You can use passata instead of grated tomatoes.
In the second step add the fresh peas, baby potatoes, salt, pepper, chili flakes and warm water. Cook until the potatoes and peas get soft, cover with a lid. It takes almost 30 minutes. Check after 20 minutes if your peas are so small they can cook faster.
