What is great about this easy spinach salad?

With just three main ingredients, this salad is ready in only 10 minutes. Whether you’re looking for a quick side dish or a healthy mezze to enjoy with a drink, this recipe has you covered. And if you’re vegan, you can easily skip the yogurt for a light, vibrant spinach salad with crisp garlic and bright lemon zest—trust me, it’s delicious either way!

What You’ll Need for Spinach Salad ?

  • Fresh spinach (baby spinach works wonderfully)
  • Garlic (for that savory crispiness)
  • Lemon zest (for a fresh, zesty kick)
  • Olive oil (for a smooth, rich base)

If you’re a fan of creamy salads, a dollop of yogurt really brings it all together, but the salad is just as tasty without it.

How to make this salad?

This is a very quick salad recipe to make. Take a large skillet, add olive oil, and heat it over medium. Add sliced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Add the spinach and cook just until softened—be careful not to overcook, as you want to keep the vibrant green color. It should take about 6-8 minutes. Once cooked, turn off the heat and add a pinch of salt and lemon zest for extra flavor.

How to Serve Your Spinach Salad?

There are so many ways to enjoy this versatile salad. Serve it as a classic green side salad alongside chicken, meat, or even a hearty fish dish. It pairs beautifully with creamy pasta too! Looking for a brunch idea? Spread this spinach salad on toasted bread and top with a poached egg for an easy breakfast toast.
